Big Sky Debate I am not a fan of purchasing info, but out of the many companies out there, this is a more reasonable priced one.

Debate Champs is a clearinghouse for many different companies. You can probably get cheaper or discounted prices by going to them directly.

The Forensics Files, PFDebate, and the DB8 Zone have files you can download for free. I recommend doing this because it gives your learners something to practice on without doing tons of work. I actually have a library of old files from several companies going back 3 or 4 years.

National forensics organizations

These organizations range from the high school to the college level. I think I have collected an exhaustive list of high school organizations, but if you want more college level information go the the AFA site below.

National Forensics League
Also at the NFL website you can shop for materials or find the most recent Debate Topics.

The Rostrum Magazine Archives has a wealth of information as well. I have downloaded many of these articles and assigned them as reading for my team.

Rupe Scholars
the Rupe Scholars organization was established to help promote and educate about Public Forum debate.

National Debate Coaches Association
The National Debate Coaches Assoc. is a terrific source for resources to learn debate. In addition, they have the Open Evidence project, which is a phenomenal source for Policy evidence. In addition, they have a TREMENDOUS supply of support and help for the debate coach on every topic imaginable.

National Urban Debate League
The National Association for Urban Debate Leagues has a huge amount of resources for teaching Debate and researching Policy debate. I recommend them as well. Also, as far as recruiting, their research on the advantages of debate are very good.

The NFHS Speech, Debate and Theatre Association (NFHS SDTA) is a professional organization specifically for directors and coaches of high school speech, debate and theatre programs.

The National Catholic Forensic League also has some resources and materials for the debate coach. The NCFL is the NFL specifically for Catholic schools. They follow many of the same rules (not exactly the same, however) and they have different topics.

American Forensics Federation
And the American Forensics Association is an umbrella organization for high school and college forensics. Not a lot of resources on this site though. Kind of dissapointing.

The Speaker and Gavel is the journal of the Delta Sigma Rho-Tau Kappa Alpha national forensics honor society. They are geared to college level debate, but the articles in the journal do apply to the high school level as well.

DebateVision is a site dedicated to bringing the debate community high quality video and audio of and about debate. A great place to learn some new coaching or debating skills.
